Katelyn was the second high school player in Nevada history to win four consecutive individual state championships.  Katelyn won the 2009 Class 2A title by 26 strokes with a two-under-par 142 at Genoa Lakes Golf Course with a final-round 70 which came in cold, rainy conditions. 

A talented all around athlete, Katelyn was a member of Incline High Schools two state championship teams in 2009 (golf and track.)  And, was first team Class 2A All-State point guard on the Incline High School Basketball team and was also league MVP. 

Katie also scored 36 points for the Incline Highlander track team as a member of the state champion 4x400 meter relay team and state runner-up in the 400, 800 and 4x100 relay.

Outside of athletics, Katie was Incline High School Student Body President and a member of the National Honor Society.

Upon graduation Katelyn received a full scholarship to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Leading the Huskers on the course both her junior and senior years of college, she produced a 75.71 scoring average which ranked the seventh-best single-season stroke average in school history.
